The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.

This does mean Dallas won't be lower than #3 no matter what else happens. So if we want to avoid them in the first round, a win tomorrow would be great or, if you're happy with the path of least resistance (and I know I am), a Colorado win tonight.
The question is who would Bruce rather play, Seattle or Dallas? Win Shield and play Seattle. Lose Shield and play Dallas. We have beaten Dallas once and Seattle twice. Of course, we AND those teams are quite different than when we met previously.
Damn it, I want The Shield!
EDIT:
Yep, with the draw Colorado gets to play Columbus.Mormon conspiracy

All Crado had to do was kill 3 minutes and they beat their arch rival handily. Then the defense passes it back to the keeper, who has ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to fart around for a couple of seconds and dump it off to his right so they can bring the ball up. Saborio, as is his duty, approaches the keeper. Everything's cool.
'Cept... the keeper fucking tees the ball up and, w/ Saborio about 10 yards away, goes back a few steps!! Saborio jogs... yes... JOGS... on his approach 'cuz he can't fucking believe what is happening. Could it be true? Is Crado just full of blithering idiots?
Yes. Yes it's true. When the keeper kicks the ball, it deflects from the top of the box and into the goal.
The stupidity didn't end there.
93rd minute, free kick, everybody's in the box, ball comes in and a Crapid takes down a Faker, WWW-style. Thing is... the Faker wouldn't have gotten off a strong shot.
Stupidity. Unadulterated stupidity.
