The Deal that Paved the Way for Sacha Kljestan to Join Metro:

Signing Gordon Kljestan in 2008 from his USL team.

http://www.metrofana...ayer.jsp?ID=198

Played 1 game, 45 minutes, no stats to speak of.

He's the Moonlight Graham, on a team full of Moonlight Grahams. Not to mention Taylor Graham, who was a shit sandwich.

Honestly, the incestuous nature of this team is hilarious. It never ends!

Pouring some diet coke out for my man John Rooney, in advance of his brother signing for us in 2017.

(You can merge this, Dan.)

Yup, don't you remember, right after Kaka and before Mike Ballack. :)

With left mid a huge question mark, I am surprised the SWP rumors haven't resurfaced.  With Cahill off the books, even these cheapskates ought to be able to afford him (not saying I want him - no idea what he might have left in the tank).

That's what I keep getting back to when it comes to money....

We dropped Henry, so you fill that spot with Kljestan.

We dropped Olave and I guess Zubar equals that?  Hopefully not financially.  We also picked up allocation money in the Olave trade as well.

Guys like Perinelle and AJB couldn't have cost anything.    We are likely to drop another DP contract in Cahill and the cap is going to go up.  WHere the hell is the money when we are only apparently looking at a backup for BWP at this point?

There's plenty of space under the cap, unless they are paying Felipe max non-DP money.  And even then, Sacha and Henry are a wash, Olave and Felipe are a wash, and you still have Cahill's cap room to play with, renegotiating with Sekagya should cover BWP's raise... not counting all the small moves cutting Ecks and Convey and the rest.

Supposedly more moves are supposed to be announced today (saw it on Twitter). We shall see what happens.

Re: today's #RBNY call. Marsch stated that up to 3 more moves coming. Don't think that incl use of allocation spot. Strap in folks.

Take that for what it's worth.

(Apologies.... I thought it read it was supposed to happen today. This tweet doesn't specify a time.)
