During the EDE, I'd  probably go with Luke Rodgers

I need my plaid pitch.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

"Mt Rushmore" of players where supporters had a song/chant about them and was sung at the stadium. Songs about a player after he left Metro don't count.

Grella/Zizzo (We all dream of a team of)

Mathis (Clint Mathis Magic)

Howard (the tourettes chant)

Ammann (He plays great with a broken chest)

Jolley (For he's a Jolley good Metro)

Stammler (One Shoe)

Magee (Let It Be)

Chung (Everybody Mark Chung Tonite)

Villegas (Viva Villegas medley)

Joseph (He Can Run For Miles)

Ballouchy (Tequila)

Grafer (They're Grafer Pants)

Rodgers (He Loves To Fucking Fight)

BWP/SWP

Coundoul (Bouna Time)

I'm sure Jamison can remember some more in-stadium songs about players that were with the team at the time.

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

Mathis (Clint Mathis Magic)

Grafer (They're Grafer Pants)

Don't forget "Show us your Clint!" Remember how you came up with that one -- Grant Wahl came to 101 back in 2001 when he was working on a SI profile of Mathis. I think it was the hat-trick game: http://www.metrofana...tory.jsp?ID=121. He asked if we had any Clint-specific chant, and you came up with "Show us your Clint"... At least that's how I remember it.

Grafer! Harty was a great choice, but he would be my #2.

coulda sworn that Wahl was wearing leather pants or something just as unsightly.

saw Grafer once by the Cube at Astor Place. he was already retired and was, iirc, attending to cooking school. saw him, recognized him, then belted out his song full volume. he looked around to see who was singing it, didn't see me, but pumped his fist a bit as he continued walking west towards Broadway.

I ran into him after the last Chivas game in 2014. He remembers the love. A cult hero if there ever was one.

I see the metro mount Rushmore as the most significant metro per era that is why i picked mathis, Guevara, henry and bwp.

We could/should have two mount Rushmores. One metro and one RBNY

Metro:

Howard
Savarese
Guevara
Petke

RBNY:

Henry
BWP
Robles
JPA

Edit: I could see the argument for Mathis in the metro one, moving petke to RBNY and bumping jpa off
