I guess, but what happens when BWP drops into midfield, since it's not a strength of his?

Thats not entirely true. BWP is more than capable of assisting other players from a midfield position. What Im more concerned about is the way Armas has them playing. Last season BWP (and Kaku) were able to rack up assists because every time there was a turnover in the midfield the next pass was straight to goal. Now some of those passes were absolutely miserable, but some of them completely caught teams off guard in transition and turned into goals.I guess, but what happens when BWP drops into midfield, since it's not a strength of his?
Right now were playing slow. Lots of standing around. No killer instinct.

Amazingly, this is only the second time we ever lost 1:0 on an own goal.
The first?

I have to agree with you on this. I don't care what his assist numbers are, when he drops back, the game is over.

I bought the ESC tshirt "Ultimate Scoring Machine" for a reason. He's the best finisher in team history, bar none. Like in hoop and hockey, if there's a guy who is a scorer, let him do that, and that only.

Maybe we go on some crazy run for the rest of the season, win the cup and break the curse...

Or, we totally suck, for the third time in a year ending in 9.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

We started 1-6 in 2016, 0-2-4 in 2014, and 0-2-2 in 2013. We've allowed only 4 goals in 4 games. The offense is not clicking, but it's a little too early to compare this the x9 debacles.
Now if we lose to Minnesota this week...

Perhaps the theory is, if you abandon the empty stadium and the club name, and act like that team never existed, tens of thousands of new fans will fill Soldier Field like CCFC was a brand new expansion team.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
