Looks like KC is the opponent.
they beat America's number 2 and 3 cities (LA and Chicago) to get to this point. I was kind of hoping they would play Canada's #1 city in the World Series, but instead they play America's #47 city...
c'est la vie...
Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

well, my ranking, which was in no way pulled out of my ass, was based on a combination of size and perceived shittiness compared to the NY Metro area.
Case in point: Boston is number 24 on that list, but because of terribleness I'd rank it more like 89th.
What I did not know was that Missouri is where neighboring citizens go to get alcohol to circumvent their states' ridiculous liquor laws. So i might allow it to move up to 37.
Also, as long as we are nerding it up, if you include the Kansas part, (where the soccer team plays,) KC population would be 29th.
This 6 day layoff is killing me...can't wait for the game to start!
Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Exciting Game One. Tough loss for the Mets, after being up 3-1 & 4-3. A couple of miscues cost them. Hope there are no more.
Mets have lost Game One all 5 times they've reached the WS. Managed to prevail twice in the previous 4, in 5 vs. Os & 7 vs. RedSox.
Let's Go Mets!
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Tough loss in Game Two. That's why the Game One leads were so important to hold.
Back to Citi Field for Games 3, 4 & 5!
Let's Go Mets!
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

When you realize how much you seriously do not care about baseball is how most people feel about soccer...

If it's any consolation, in 1986 Mets lost game 1 by 1 run, and lost game 2 by 6.
But KC's bats are damned impossible to get out. They don't miss.

Unless they face a southpaw.
