Once again Metrofanatic ahead of the curve of our own team - http://www.soccerpub...showtopic=49043
Question is what the fuck took so long. We gave up some magic beans to get him aka nothing. Why wait till now to make this move, when we are 2-6 and not when he could've helped to prevent that.
These are facts - this improves our team. He is miles better than Zubar and Ouimette. That can't be denied. Collin doesn't have many fans around here and we all had our moments with hating him while he was with KC. But he is a proven MLS veteran. He is a bit mistake prone and is prone to getting red cards. That combined with his salary is why he was moved from KC and now Orlando moved on him too. But he is still much better than we had and this is a guy who knows what it takes to win. I have to say I like this move based on the simple fact it is a very solid way of addressing our biggest need.

I have the presume that the Ouimette horror performance from Sunday was a motivating factor. If/when Baah is healthy, you throw him and Collin back there and have Zubar waiting in the wings for DP to return.
Hopefully Collin is ready to plug in tomorrow. The thought of Ouimette trying to track down Dallas breaks should give everyone nightmares. Statuesque.
Fantastic! takes the edge off an annoying day at work

The shit show of having Chris Duvall at CB vs KC wasn't enough to make them realize a move was badly needed then that says a lot.
Why now? Why not 4 weeks ago?
Lack of confidence in Zubar long term?

This x 100000. So many of our losses were simply due to not having a capable body at center back. He could've helped us tremendously much earlier. A move needed to be made after Baah went down. Now it will still help, but an even better time to make this move would've been in the off season.
Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.
Did they wait to make the deal until Orlando came to town so they didn't have to pay for his flight up here?
Wonder how this affects the cap going forward. Not giving up a lot in the trade but he's not a cheap player, and our roster was close to full.
I also wonder if this bodes ill regarding (1) Perinelle's recovery, (2) Baah's health or (3) the team's faith in Zubi Zubi Zoo and the Canadian car crash.
Lack of confidence in Zubar long term?
That should have been obvious 12 months ago.
Takes two to tango...perhaps Orlando was hesitant to deal him immediately before playing RBNY?
