Yikes, I didn't think it was that big of a deal when Bilyeu struggled to keep up with MLS level play, but he looks out of it in USL too. The kid just plays too scared, too passive.

decent to claw back and take the lead after the Bilyeu gaffe, but it took them 50+ mins to correct it. then they give up a PK and the winner?

So, in each of the 3 games we didn't get 3 points, a former Red Bull scored to make sure of it.

Corey Hertzog (2), Manolo Sanchez and Jose Angulo.

This explains the thin bench:

OUT: D – Jordan Scarlett is recovering from a shoulder injury suffered during preseason. He will return to training in 3-4 weeks.

OUT: D – Andrew Lombard continues to rehab a broken foot suffered last Fall. He will be out another 6-8 weeks.

OUT: F – Stefano Bonomo underwent successful athletic pubalgia surgery at the beginning of the month.

OUT: D – Ethan Kutler suffered a foot injury during training and will be out 3-5 weeks.

OUT: GK – Rafael Diaz – bone bruise on his hand, sustained in training. His return is day-to-day.

Bezecourt continues to kill it in USL. Maybe give him a chance with the first team?

Same with Allen, obviously.

Won 3-1 over OCB. Goals by Flemmings, Bezecourt and Abidor.

Zach Carroll captained OCB and Scotty Thomsen started as well. Both embarrassed on the last goal.

Bezecourt is MLS ready.

I like how they're still finding themselves. Murillo seemed more comfy (nice cross!) before going off injured. Zeiko's hungry again.

Bezecourt is weird...  I've watched him several times now and I see trash some times and I see very good other times.  He's a wildcard.

I still lean towards him not being a good MLS player (although most of these kids don't end up being good MLS players so it's not saying much) but who knows.  He works hard and occasionally pulls off some impressive plays with the ball.  Athletically I think he can handle it, just don't know if he has the consistent ball skills to make it work.

FWIW, the Montclair students I spoke to (all club-level players themselves) universally think Zeiko is the best of the bunch, based on what they've seen

OAM piece on Valot and Bezecourt. Maybe they'll get open cup minutes.

Bezecourt and Allen score in 2-2 draw vs. Rochester. Rhinos scored in the last few seconds of both halves.

Once again, not a full bench. Understand that academy had a game and we have injuries with some players but sad we haven't had a full 18 this season.

Watched the first half and had the YouTube feed up for the second half but have to actually watch the second half to give reviews but Bezecourt, Basuljevic, Metzger, Zeiko, Flemmings, Valot and Allen is a fun attacking group this season.

Following the 2016 red bulls model of blowing late leads I see.
