I for sure can see why they drafted Archimede.  He is a pure target man with sneaky speed given his size.  I'm curious how he will do next year with a full year in USL.  I think his skill set works with what Struber at least asks his forwards to do

I want him to succeed primarily because he's Archimede of Syracuse.

Your possible squad does not include Marty Ice ...

Yes... he's been left out of the last couple of matches even with spots open on the bench. I'd like to think they told him to explore other opportunities but it may be injury related. This team rarely provides details.

Marcucci
Egbo-Tombul-Castillo-Ofori
Williams-Edelman
Harper-LaCava
Sowe-Archimede

Bench: Joseph, Cortez, Pendant, Drame, Rabiu, Sserwadda, Brummett

Rafanello out on red card late in the last match.
No Jorgy.
No Zajec?
No debut of Lamine Conte.

Dominated first 15min.
19th - Archimede with his 3rd of the year with a great first touch from Castillo. 1-0
37th - Marcucci with ANOTHER penalty kick save after Castillo makes a clumsy tackle in the box.
HT - 1-0
46th - Egbo taken down in the box. Harper to take the PK. CAMERON HARPER FIRST CAREER PRO GOAL! 2-0
56th - Harper to Egbo! Egbo's 4th of the year. 3-0. Egbo gave Harper the PK shot even though he usually takes them and was the one fouled. Harper pays him back.
59th - Sswerwadda on for Archimede. Expect lots of speed and powerful passes based on his first game.
68th - Brummett on for Harper, who exits with a goal and assist.
71st - Sswerwadda to Sowe who dribbles the breakaway into the keeper. One touch too many.
79th - Pendant in for Brummett who rolled his ankle a couple minutes ago.
90th - LaCava been off his game tonight (last few weeks). Needs to pull the trigger a bit earlier.
Final - 3-0

6W, 7D, 17L on the season. Only lost one of the last six though.

Excluding academy/first team players -
Move to MLS: Edelman, maybe give LaCava the preseason with the first team
Keep: Ofori, Sswerwadda, and Archimede
Maybe: Rafanello, Zajec and Conte
Gone: Tombul, Castillo, and Knapp

First team guys to keep/cut with mostly II playing time:
Keep: Marcucci, Harper, and Sowe
Gone: Lewis, Egbo, Pendant, and Jorgensen

A lot of graduating former academy kids with USL experience this coming year that may fill some of those roles along with returning academy kids.

I think Tombul and Castillo get a second year

How has Sserwadda looked so far?

Like a gem. Tons of speed and has a good, hard, crisp pass. Needs work defensively and was a good lesson when he tried taking on a player 1v1 and was knocked down easily. Much more physical than he is used to.

In a couple years could be our CAM we have been begging for.

Miami goal in 18th. Cortez beat bad on the right and Drame has looked awful in his limited time. Castillo tried to get to Drame's mark but he was out in front of him.

29th - Zajec gets a yellow and will be out for the season finale.

0-1 at halftime. Thankful we didn't sign Drame past this season. Had a couple chances against a good Miami team.

Halftime subs: Knapp and Tombul on for Cortez and Drame.

52nd - Sswerwadda continues to look good. LaCava is a good player but he tries to dribble every single ball to the 6yd box before taking a shot. Usually stripped of the ball before then. Very rarely a pass.

59th - Rafanello on for Archimede

65th - Loebe one of 4 subs coming on for Miami.

68th - LaCava gets pushed over and gets a yellow along with the Miami defender.

70th - Williams on for Sswerwadda

78th - the weekly Castillo cramping.

81st - Jorgensen on for an injured Edelman (Concussion Sub Rule being used)

83rd - Couple close equalizers but caught on a break and Castillo muscled off. 0-2.

90+ - 6th sub - Ofori on for Pendant, who had a good first half but quiet in the second half.

Final - 0-2.
6W, 7D, 18L, last game of the season at Loudoun at 1p on Saturday.

Yeah, in the limited amt of time for Sserwadda, his touch looks pretty clean, way better than what we see normally in USL.
