I wasn't impressed by them at all. Villa looked so frustrated not touching the ball at all till the 2nd half. Mix scored a nice goal off a  lucky bounce, but outside of that they couldn't do much. Besides any team that starts Ballouchy and Jason Hernandez stinks.

100%

They weren't very good.  Orlando was better without a doubt.  Orlando actually looks like a team that could make a serious run in the playoffs. Kaka is very good, very active and wants the ball at all times.   Then they also surrounded him with a bunch of athletic, good players.  If that kid playing striker (Rivas) wasn't a complete black hole and offside machine, they would have done better in that game.  I know he has some tools with the speed and strength, but he was brutal.  Molino is excellent, and that Higuita was very good as well.

Villa looks like his legs are done and NYCFC as a group looked very unathletic and slow.  Mix is good, but that was about it.

What more needs to be said? They start Medhi Ballouchy.

NYCFC looks dire.  I think their loudmouth fans are going to get a bit of a reality check this season.

It'll be interesting to see Ballouchy and Diskerud linking up. They've got potential, if they can get great chemistry going, on-field magic.

Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

Meh, Week 1. Lots of teams looked baad. That said, Orlando looks better. At least when they're not diving and Collin isn't being Collin.

That is freaking hilarious... Was good to see yesterday that Ballouchy still sucks.  He must be the best practice player ever.

This.

Things should get a little better when Villa rounds into form and Fat Frank waddles across the pond, but there isn't much meat on the bones of this roster right now, outside the top 3 or so players.

I really wanted to like Orlando but dear God those diving forwards were infuriating. The referee was actually decent.

Jeb Brovsky is going to be easily one of the players I hate the most in this league. It was awesome to see that ball go in off him at the end of the game. He looks like a total douche

You mean Best Practice Player Ever ©

Kries traded him from RSL to Colorado if I recall correctly (for Beckerman!)

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.
