I bet they still beat the Red Bulls...
Was expecting a little bit more out of OCFC to be honest.

New York City FC has yet to play its first game at Yankee Stadium and New York Yankees players are already expressing concerns about sharing the same field.

Mark Teixeira: “It’s terrible for a field.”
Brendan Ryan: “You want to limit the amount of bounces, really. So I’m going to fall on the side of erring aggressively—much, much more so than staying back and trying to read some hop that’s unpredictable. I’m going to be selling out to go get that ball, and I’m going to err on that side much more.”
Brett Gardner: “Problem is the root system. After you put new grass down, there’s no root system, so essentially you’re running full speed on top of AstroTurf that’s sitting on top of cement. And that grass will give way, and you blow something out—knee, ankle.”

This is honestly my favorite thing about boy city. They have an awful venue for soccer, and will screwing up the field of a baseball team i hate.
So what would the options even be for them if the Yankees kick them out?

Well, since nobody plays baseball at Citi Field, they could go there. The more likely scenario would be that they'd end up relocating to Red Bull Arena or Giants Stadium. The Staten Island Yankees or Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium would be a possibility as well with the former more likely than the latter. The question is, how would the fans take it? This is supposed to be the "only" New York team and they're going to be thrown out of the city by their owner!

No way the MLS would ever let them play in a minor league baseball park at this point. That would be such a colossal failure that Garber would never allow it to happen.
Doesn't matter what Garber wants. He made this bed. Sporting KC played in a minor league baseball field for a few years and I could see NYCFC revisiting that idea, if only because they have no other options but to do that.

That was before what the league has grown into what it is today. The team will fold before they play in a minor leave ball park. It's just not going to happen.
$100+mil teams don't fold - but they move when a $2.5bil team asks them to leave.
