After Swope Park Rangers rebrand as Sporting Kansas City II, Philly cant come to an agreement in Allentown/Bethlehem area and will continue to play in Chester and also rebrand (Philadelphia Union II from Bethlehem Steel).

Also the shenanigans with the Canadian Premier League forcing teams in Canada that were USL to play in CPL, which almost destroyed Ottawa Fury last season, before being given a year reprieve. This season they sold the franchise to The Miami FC, who move from NISA to USL for 2020.

Maybe Lloyd Sam visits NJ to play RBII next  year?

Miami will have 3 pro teams next year:  Inter Miami in MLS and USL 1 and Miami FC in USL Champ.

My recollection is that Miami FC, along with the Cosmos, was a loud anti-MLS/USL voice (someone correct me if I'm wrong on this); if so, this move seems like waving the white flag.  Maybe they got tired of playing in half-assed leagues and constantly wondering if they would even have a league to play in the next season.

So with Stroud and Lema going to the first team, RBII only has 13 players on their official roster page.

Are they going to be able to field a team in USL next season? Hamlett surely is going to raid them again for a few more "signings".

How is this different from past years when they sign 10-15 players in Jan?

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

every yr, RB2 replenishes via the draft and guys that show up via 1st team preseason invite.

Currently they have:

Kilwein

Boateng

Rito

Zajec

Elney

Sowe

typically, the reserves usually start out with 12-13 players, then a couple more trickle in as the season progresses. plus the team is supplemented by guys in the academy (Tolkin, O'Toole, plenty of examples) and guys sent down from the 1st team.

building the RB2 roster is the least of my concerns every yr. there are existing avenues/methods to ensure that the reserves will have enough personnel by the beginning of the USL-C season.

Id be down to help in this endeavor in some way...

On trial with either Cincy or Crew, forgot which.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

RB2 preseason roster. Bunch of trialists and Academy players along with the contracted RB2 players that aren't with the 1st team/rehabbing.

Marcellin Gohier's from Manhattan College(?)

David Greczek from USL1: https://en.wikipedia...i/David_Greczek

Ernest Mitchell from FGCU

Samad Bounthong's from Marist

CJ Weinstein from Sacred Heart U (relation to Cordt?)

Miguel Yuste's from Yale (Team Capt)

Joe Fala from Ramapo College

Saramago and Gilbey, iirc, were with the Academy and possibly had time with the U23s. Google searched (for 30 seconds) John Dennis, nothing conclusive.

my guess for 1st team

royer - white

kaku - valot

ccj - davis

seagrist - long - parker - duncan

jensen

ryan - tarek, egbo - RZA, muyl, sims - barlow

which means my guess for RB2

jorgenson - sowe

stroud - omir/mines

tolkin - boateng/kilwien - nealis - rito

mcintosh

i think well see more RB2 signings this week.

While Seacrest signed with the 1st team, another draft pick signed with RB2. The LW from Louisville:
