1.25 million is embarrassingly low.  This team is going to get boo'd on opening day.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Sold for essentially nothing and now there is a huge hole at LB. Disaster.

I was feeling better about this team for a few hours, now we are back to square one.

More roster questions being created when we havent solved all of the previous ones. Kemar didnt take up an international spot either.

Fuck this sucks

People can rightfully whine about the price but it's not like it was going to be reinvested into the team, even if they sold him for 10 million. Sigh, just as I was starting to look forward to this season however slight my optimism was. At least our Jersey this year is nice and tickets will be dirt cheap.

Were going to be really bad this year.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. One of my all time favorites, if true sad to see him go but wish him well.

Before this sale, I could be convinced the team was at about the same level as it was last season.  Now the team is absolutely worse than last year's team.

Yeah, exactly.  The last reports have it at 1.5 mill so it's pretty clear that they were just doing what he wanted and letting him go.   I could care less about the amount because as long as we get the max allocation, that's all that matters.
