Thank goodness for crap expansion teams to make us look better than we really are.
The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. i think we'll come out guns blazing - the guys left on the roster will have chips on their shoulders, especially guys like white and duncan. i say we win 3-1 in a solid performance, goals by kaku, white, royer.

RBNY -385
Draw +450
Cincinnati +900
You negative Nellies out there can make nice chunk of change if youre willing to back it up with some cash. Red Bulls are actually the biggest betting favorite on the board in the opening weekend, bigger than LAFC hosting expansion Inter Miami.
I will go 2-1 Red Bulls.

I think we'll win vs Cinci. They've had a worse off-season than us by the looks of it.
Also, like previous posters have mentioned, just not excited for the start of the season with the roster looking like this and a big whole chunk of cap space unused.
RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.
RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

good take
If they get the start they are clearly playing for their starting jobs in way.
Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

FCC are truly awful and Id be willing to bet at least 5 USL Championship teams would beat them.

We looked like shit against them last year at home and it took a Connor Lade golazo to beat them.
C'mon Koko, you're using a game where we played poorly and still won as support for saying we'll get blown out this time? Seems a little pessimistic even for you!

Im just saying we should temper our expectations. Just cause theyre a shit expansion side doesnt mean they wont come in here and give us a game...like they did last year.

Cincinnati have had a good offseason player acquisition wise. This coaching stuff is what is messing them up.

And we have had a terrible offseason.
And we have Armas.
And we barely beat them at home last year.
Just sayin.

RB are capable of losing to the worst teams.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Cincinnati's offseason acquisitions so far below...
They added one DP. Kubo, but the guy doesn't seem to have scored much in a few years. Can't claim to know much about him.
Medunjanin always played very well against us for Philly but also had a habit of getting eaten alive by our press, he's a very slow and methodical player on the ball.

I agree with you in that Im not overly confident that well walk all over them because they should be the cellar dwellers of the league again. However, I wouldnt put a ton of stock into that one game against them.
