adjusting for Watson I thought White did a good job battling and with his hold-up play.  But he was trigger shy a couple times just outside the 18 that bothered me.

Watson will own 99% of players in an aerial duel

Yeah, White on Waston is definitely a mismatch, but Waston is going to bully pretty much everyone in the league on set pieces, only so much you can do.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Remember Watson emasculating Parker twice in the same game a year or two ago?
Also, White had a tough time winning anything with his back to goal with that big guy behind him

I think that was one of White's first appearances, he didn't fair much better. Like everyone's said, Waston is just a beast.

But the kicker was watching Jorgensen try to square up against him last year. Like a man playing against a toddler.

Taking a look at some of the activity maps, CCJ's defensive effort deserves a call out. He had 11 tackles/interceptions and about as many secondary ball recoveries. Those are Adams-level numbers.

His ceiling is lower than Adams but if he can clean up some of his bad giveaways he can be a truly dominant MLS CM. In fact his giveaway for Cincy's second goal is a little reminiscent of the mistake Adams made that cost us the CCL in 2018. Definitely something he can correct as he matures.

Bad giveaway yes, but Davis is the one who inadvertently kicks the ball directly to Locadia.

It was inadvertant though, as was Parker's slip and the unlucky bounce off of Jensen's save. CCJ is the only one whose mistake was the result of his own lack of focus, and it was the catalyst for the rest of the play.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
