She actually was a nurse decades ago, then a medical rep, but appears to have lost her way, as a politician.

That attests to his strength. No telling how many times he would have been re-elected had he not died at age 63. He had his faults, and his detractors, no doubt, but he was a true leader, like Lincoln. The line "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself!" is one of the greatest quotes in American History.

Totally unrelated......but can you imagine an new FDR? Half the country completely loses it's mind if you suggest government sponsored health care. In this era the New Deal would be DOA.

People were desperate enough during the Depression to vote for politicians who would vote for things that were in everyones interest. That is against the basic animal instincts of human nature.
The problem for many, is not in providing some things for everybody, but in those who will only take.
A French philosopher once wrote that two-thirds of society supports the other third. Think about that, and which third has been supported in various cultures and societies.
