Was there any talk of any other players before Beckham was signed?

I'm not going to shut you down, MLS is too physical for the "Jewel of England's Crown". He would be injured more often than he is on Tyneside. I would like to see Michael in our colors one day. He's English, he doesn't give fuck all for the team, he'd collect silly wages while injured on the bench, and he'd receive a captains armband he doesn't deserve. You're telling me he's not LA Galaxy material?
Edit: Meant to add, who would kill your mother for a chance to start for England again
Bill, back me up here
Isaac: So when I told you guys we were on it, I meant to say we're on the motherfucker, go back in there and relax...

We saw who is AEG's next target this past summer. Remember?
I don't know if he's 2.0 though, we probably won't see him until after he hits 30 and he's played his "last" WC in South Africa. What a coup it would be if we sign him during a slump before the World Cup and Brazil wins the whole thing.
2.0 will probably be a Mexican player that we get for 2 years. I'm guessing Adolfo Bautista who has been on the outs at Jaguares for some time, or Omar Bravo if Tigres is relegated.

Sorry, you don't realize how addicting it is making Jar Jar posts until you do one.

'Dino would do all of that, except i'm not sure what he's driven by more, his ego or his bank account.
Was Henry ever really an option?

His goals from this weekend at 2:00 and 5:35
He's 28. His contract with Pachuca should be up soon, and he's stated that he follows MLS and would like to play here. The guy is a natural leader, and, unlike Beckham, he's the kind of guy you can build a team around rather than just a support player.
He cost Pachuca approx. $1.5M if I remember correctly, and would be making less than that, so I'm guessing he'd be willing to sign for that amount.
Not to mention it would make Twigg, LOBO, and me happy. Ha ha ha.
