Folks, does anyone have an idea when the Fire's 1st home playoff game will be? I'm trying to get a few buddies to go...but I need a date...or a tentative date?

Thanks guys!

October?

Not sure, but it'll be a Thursday or a Sat.....the where will be based on our standings (i.e. if we retain 2nd or not)

You're assuming we get into the playoffs?

Last prediction I read (from Goff's blog iirc) had Fire v. Sounders, no dates mentioned.

Yeah, they have to actually qualify for playoffs first.

Yep. I'm assuming we get into the playoffs.

The MLS site says the last season game is Sunday the 25th of OCT.

The following Thur 10/29?

I think it's more likely to be the first weekend after (11/1) followed by a midweek game (say 11/5).

If the Fire are the lower seeded team, their home game will be either Thursday October 29th, Friday the 30th, Saturday the 31st or Sunday the 1st.

If the Fire are the higher seeded team, their home game will be either Thursday November 5th, Friday November 6th, Saturday November 7th or Sunday November 8th.

With LA in the playoffs this season, and the end of mandatory Thursday night ESPN matches, I'm willing to bet we won't have all our playoff matches on Thursdays.

Yeah, we can still miss out, but it's not likely. Much like the possibility we don't play the Revs in the first round.

Yep.

Hopefully the game@Columbus will be on a saturday.

If Chicago Fire earn a lower seed, I don't know that Toyota Park would be available for a potential playoff match on October 29, 30 or 31 due to Bridgeview's Haunted Hollow http://m.bridgeviewhauntedhouse.com
