I don't even want Tyler Adams dressed for this game.  Leave him doing chores at his house

I'm guessing that they're not getting back till Thursday due to the storm.

Haha, agree on Tyler. Think this is a good game for some squad rotation.

Collin should be in great shape and Adi is a big man to deal with so that's perfect. Let Long or Parker take the game off. Kaku gets his first start perhaps. Would like to see Etienne start as well.

Portland had some skill higher up the field but they really looked bad in the back last game.

Rest for the home leg! Davis out on yellow accumulation. Kaku rested for this weekend likely.

Valot, Bezecourt although with CCL first team have been loaned to USL team and not part of MLS roster.

Robles
Lade-Collin-Escobar-Politz
Muyl-Kaku-Davis-Etienne
Rivas-Bonomo

Bench:
Meara, Redding, Parker, Taxi, Adams, Royer, BWP

Assuming Valot, Bezecourt and Casseres unavailable.

My lineup of choice atm.  May be a bit of overkill, but its too early in the season to unnecessarily push people.  We know which game next week is more important.

Rivas

Etienne-Kaku-Valot*

Muyl-Davis-Lade

Parker/Long-Collin-Escobar

Robles

Bench

BWP, Bonomo, Royer, Bezecourt, Redding/Ndam, Murillo, Meara

Rest for the home leg! ...
Bench: ... BWP

Only if he asks out.
How many times has he been rested?
Last 4 years in the league: GP 32, 34, 34, 32.
GS 29, 33, 32, 29.

Hate to give away a League game, but need to let back-ups play and maybe Kaku. I am sure Felipe would go 90 if he were still here!

I'm very excited to see Gio. Even if he's on their sidelines. Love that man.

As for the actual game.. IDGAF. Tuesday is 1million times more important. No way I play Adams or RZA if he's not really hurt. I'd like to see big Tim Parker play to get accustomed to the system. Love his size and what he brings. Davis will play and should start because he can't play Tuesday for yellow accumulation. Lucky to not be given a red vs Xolos.

Hoping Axel Mule makes another appearance.  involved in both goals last game.

Would like to see Valot loaned up again ( i believe they can loan USL players at will).  Big vote of confidence in Valot to sub into the CCL game.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Yea curious to see what kind of squad rotation Jesse does. But I think we need to rest as many key players as possible for Tuesday.

Same (with maybe the exception of Redding/Ndam in for Parker/Long)

Wanna see Etienne (or Rivas) in for Muyl and wanna see Kaku in there from the start.

Davis will start seeing as he's out of the second leg. Other than that, this early in the year how much do we wanna rotate? We don't wanna drop points at home ever. So I expect a few changes but the majority of our first team should be out there.

If RZA is okay (for Tuesday), sure but if he is not the moving parts make us need to turn over the roster a ton.

No RZA or Davis Tuesday, then Adams has to start in CDM (and shouldnt play) .

Adams is one of our primary wingback alternative with Lade, so if he is locked in @ CDM cant afford to have Kemar or Amir get hurt, so at least one of them has to rest to be safe.

I would be okay with both Long and Parker playing, but in case we go 3 in the back want Collin and/or Escobar to get 90 minutes in against a real team, so in any formation at least one of Long/Parker should rest.

Kaku and Etienne need 90 minutes so they will come in for 2 of BWP, Royer, Muyl, Adams (since Davis slides down to fill the 6 spot).  And arguably Rivas but him getting 90 is less important because he is not in direct contention for a starting role like Kaku and Etienne imo.

That i think has it at at least 4 subs (Adams, 1 wingback, 1 CB and 1 attacker).  Our potential injuries and suspensions make it tough to not rotate.
