Our old way of doing business was waiting until the jalopy was completely broken down. We'd get out and push it into the service station and then wait as they searched around for a used part and then the inevitable "shipping" delays and too often the band aid part didn't quite fit anyways LOL

This is so apt. It is the aptest of apt that ever apted.

Id love to know who else they were being offered for SK16 at the time of the trade. They did right by Sacha, R&R seemed promising additions, and it was the next step to the Red Bullification of the roster. But man, talent-wise, Metro did not get all the potential value there was to be had.

But I also like that they do hold space for academy kids to make right mid work. Basically I just want Ivan to be Quaresma or Pedro instead.

RED. BULL. OUT.

Pedro would instantly be a top 5 or top 10 player in the league, with a lot more runway than guys like Ibra and Villa. Sure would be nice but can't really expect ownership to drop 50M on a player (transfer fee + salaries).

I like how they realized quickly Redding wasn't the answer and made the move for Parker.

That trade was clearly a miss, but given all the other signing and trade hits they've had (Taxi, Murillo, Collin for that one year, Royer, Kaku, RZA), I'm ok giving them a pass on the Sacha trade and things like the Damari loan.

We've now played 35 games this year in all competitions. Our worst result is still only a 1 goal defeat, we have not been defeated by multiple goals a single time.

Well, THAT has now changed!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
