Penarol CB Yeferson Quintana getting looks. Profile suggests that we might take a stab at him. 21 yo, 6'4", 195lb, value on TM is 150k EUR. Would be a Murillo style thing, I hope. Loan and if he works out, buy him immediately.

Apparently some MLS team is in on him. Would have no problem if it's us. We need a guy with size.

Stockpiling CBs now, 3 at three back might still be in plans.
Four of them 22 or younger too. Was kinda hoping for at least one signing with a resume.

Agreed. I guess they'll have Collin barking at them in practice.

So as it stands: Collin Long Escobar Redding Ndam.
So far only guys I trust at CB are Collin and Long.
Escobar needs to get better.
Redding could step in given some coaching from the staff.
I think Ndam could be ready eventually, but I'm not sure if he'd be by Opening Day.
Getting Quintana would be great, cuz we've literally gambled every yr at CB, not carrying enough bodies then having to move outside backs centrally if injuries occur or Nat'l team callups. i'd rather them not do that anymore. Also, Collin's battle with Plantar Fasciitis...is it really over? We know how it fucked with Luke Rodgers.

Last time it was updated was Feb 2017. Nearly every appearance he's had has been since then. Not that they're the gold standard or anything, but he's probably worth a bit more than that.
Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

Throw Murillo in the mix too, he's a pretty good CB.

I'd rather keep him at outside back. We're really thin there now, especially if Taxi leaves.
But I like how Quintana played Libertadores (vs Palmeiras) and in the Penarol-Nacional derby. Those are high-pressure games, imo.

Big lad!
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

If we get this guy, and Gamarra, along with the Sacha deal, AND we keep Adams, it would be hard to complain about our off season. Checked all the boxes, no?

In general i wouldn't complain. It would really hurt to lose Kemar though.
