Not like we are going to take anyone from the draft, but... there is a first for everything.
Some names available:
Former NYRBII defender and original, Mike da Fonte
Acadmey stud John Murphy's brother, James
Former academy superstud that we were all scared to lose: Adam Najem
Escobar, Politz, Kutler, Redding and Rza available as former Red Bulls.

Still a bit perplexed about the decision to let Escobar go.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Long and Parker are the starters and the best CB duo in the league. Escobar was unhappy here cause he didnt get playing time. You want to keep an unhappy player at the club?
Stock the depth with young talented prospects who want to learn the trade, and maybe a cheap MLS journeyman whos happy being #3. Good to go.

I predict we will take 2 or 3 times as many players in this draft than we have in all previous waiver drafts combined.

Was Mike da Fonte on an MLS roster?
Yes, Colorado picked him up last year from Sacramento Republic and he ended up playing in about 20 games in MLS. In the summer they loaned him out for the year to Phoenix Rising. My guess is that he signs a deal there after the waiver draft.

Can't wait to find out if we bother to call in this year.

2-3 times 0 is still 0, right? LOL

Exactly. And Escobar isn't gonna be short of options in finding a team in where he'll be a starter considering he was a starting cb for Panama in the World Cup. Dude will be happy to sit on the bench here with very little prospect of breaking into the starting lineup? No chance.

Another solid move given Homegrowns vs. Draft success.

Marcus Epps drafted. Gave up our 2nd round SuperDraft pick (which was like 40 something) to move up to #1 on the list.
Another solid move given Homegrowns vs. Draft success.
Forward or Mid? Another no-name guy to fight for minutes with Muyl and Valot and Ettiene and Mines?
Something for nothing, I guess.

Still better than the results from our draft picks in most cases. We lost our 40 something pick for a guy who showed some promise and a former 25th pick.
Can play either wing and has pace. This move makes me wonder if Etienne Jr. is sticking around. Similar playing styles.
2018: 8 Starts, 13 GP 609 minutes - 1G,2A
2017: 7 Starts, 19 GP 709 minutes - 2G,1A
I am fine with this, fits our system well.

We have too many backup wing players:
Guessing Valot and Royer as starters, for now.
Muyl, Etienne Jr., Ivan, Epps, Mines. Stroud and Moreno waiting in the wings (pun intended).
