Italy is either extremely good or I should be more worried about that USMNT-Switzerland result (or both)

Every 20 years or so Italy comes up with a great generation. This is their time.

Very entertaining slate of games today, minus Spain/Slovakia.

At least that game had the ridiculous own goal.

The bracket for the knockout rounds is rather lopsided with France, Belgium, Italy, and Portugal all on the same side. Should Belgium win out no one can say they didn't earn it. On the opposite side, England just might be able to shake their major tournament underachievers persona if they get past Germany because with the exception of Ukraine and possibly Demark all appear to be on equal footing. It would interesting to see how England would handle playing the final in Wembley. That being said, unless France finds another gear, the tournament remains Belgium's to lose.

OK, today's game against Austria was more like the Italy of old.

Morata is like the Barlow of Spain. How is this dude still getting call ups?

Also how did Spain blow a 2 goal lead in the final 10 mins? Kind of hope they lose now since they blew up my parlays today.

Of course Morata immediately proceeds to score in extra time after not doing shit for 90 minutes

Barring some sort of complete collapse i really think France takes this one

There you have it!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

France pulled off their very best Metro impersonation and aced it. How the fuck do you give up a 2 goal lead in the final 10 mins?

Ask Spain ...

Only two teams  have stood out- England and Italy. Fortunately, if they meet, it will be in the Final.

Has England still not let in a goal?

I plunked down $100 on Italy at I think +950 or +1000, based mostly on nothing, just to have something to root for.

They should have no problems in the group , especially since theyll play all three games in Rome, while the rest of the group has to shuttle between Rome and Baku.

But theyre definitely talent deficient vs France, Belgium, and some of the other top teams.

I was at the Italy-Greece match in 2019 where Italy clinched a spot in the Euros. Fun time.

How you feelin?
