2015 homegrown signings:
Metzger
Davis

2016 homegrown signings:
Corboz
Allen

2017 homegrown signings:
Najem
Muyl

Hopefully we're allowed to sign 3+ per season so we can sign a few of the high school aged players like Martin and Olosunde.

Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

(F) HOMEGROWN PLAYER SIGNINGS
A club may sign a player to his first professional contract without subjecting him to the MLS SuperDraft if the player has trained for at least one year in the club’s youth development program and has trained 80 days with the academy during that year. Players joining MLS through this mechanism are known as Homegrown Players.

There is no limit to the number of Homegrown Players a club may sign in a given year.

  • Clubs may sign up to two Homegrown Players contracts above the minimum salary and similar to Generation adidas player contract amounts.
So is Duke freshman starting goalkeeper Joe Ohaus ( http://www.goduke.co...3&Q_SEASON=2014) still eligible to sign a homegrown contract? He spent 3 years in the Red Bulls academy, but played his final year in the PDA academy.

If yes, then we have two starting freshman keepers (Louro at Michigan and Ohaus) who are eligible for homegrown contracts.

The USL news sucks especially hard in light of how well these college kids are doing this year.

Watched the first half and was not impressed, but it looks like they turned it around.     Glad I watched, or else I'd still be mispronouncing Muyl and Lema.

I watched the second half, Georgetown dominated.  Allen's goal was the result of nice 3 player combination and a well timed run by him.  He then very calmly cut the ball back in the box, the defender who was desperately trying to recover went flying by, and he cooly placed it into the corner.  Muyl and Lema played the entire second half I think.

Allen is a big kid, maybe like Kenny Cooper big.
