Omar bought us a keg of beer.

Yeah, but what has he done for us lately?

Rad Chad gave us months of anticipation and then won us a keg.

If it wasn't for Magee's "calm down" bit in Toronto, I might have considered him as a candidate. I mean he had the perfect opportunity to buy the small band of LARS members who traveled to Canada a round of beers or something.... instead he looked annoyed that we encroached on his man-date with Saunders....

Chad's overall play and inconsistency eliminate him as well. Those kegs are more a result of ETZ and Jamesey's bet than anything else.

Perk taking shots is +1 and I do like his style of play... he's a longshot but he may have a chance...

Normally at this time of the year, there is a clear front-runner for the POTY... this season though, it might be a last minute vote for me...

Omar has my vote. Dude bought us beer, and he's not even mad Buddle got the vote. Buying beer for a vote is cool, but buying it just for being cool is awesome.

Magee is popular on Twitter but as Lobo points out, not for what this award is.

Perk makes sense too, and maybe something will happen from now and then, but I gotta think Omar is in front.

Ah debate at last... And what about the perennial candidate? The man who represents the full spirit of the award year in and year out.

The captain. The leading goalscorer. The one who seemingly celebrates every one of those goals with us. Sure. Its been five seasons since he last bought us beer but the pact made that day still resonates with LARS.

The agreement that no matter who came after the circus or how many of them followed, he and we knew we were here before, we would be here after and we would be here despite.

So that you have a mix of on field success, leadership and character with an unyielding love affair between a captain and his army, his followers, his Riot Squad.

And when there seems to be no obvious choice. The choice is the most obvious.

Think of how valuable the trophy would be after sitting in a Beckham storage unit for a year!

He made some dude wear tampons in his nose, and then scored two goals on him.
