Maybe its because teams have popped up in close proximity that old, further away rivals seem less important. Its hard to ignore the blue team since they are all over the place down here. Philly closer as well.

Also, weve owned the scum as of late so that doesnt help when its one sided.

hmmm. interesting viewpoint...but when DC had all those wins against us back in the day, they still hated us and the level of hatred was mutual, and there you have it.

Good edition of the hatefest yesterday.
We are 4W-4T-0L in last 8.
Most recent loss was away in May 2016.
http://metrofanatic....&TEAM=DC United
In 2015, we were 3W-2T-0L, so 1 loss in last 14.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

When was the last time a DC home game had the atmosphere as ATL yesterday? The stadium was rocking and the play on the field lived up to expectations. Said it last season (even before the playoff series) but worth repeating - ATL is a new rival

Did you not notice the large number of anti-DC songs during the game? Let me know when ESC starts anti-ATL chants during a DC game.

I'm not quite sure I even understand the purpose of the comparison. Is there actually anyone who thinks Atlanta is a bigger rival to us than DC now?

The DC home game last August was a very good atmosphere - and there were more people there than yesterday.
