Hope Tolkin gets a long look in the Colombia game. I wasn't super impressed by the guy who played LB vs serbia

Yeah Gomez looked out of sorts for some sections of the game, particularly in the first 2o minutes or so.  I was sort of surprised that Tolkien did not get a run out but who knows what they saw at training camp.

Gomez is a highly rated dual nat bet we see him in the next game

This is true, he has had call ups for both national teams.  He was not quite convincing in this performance though.

I didn't think he was too bad.  Not great, but decent.  At least early on, all of Serbia's dangerous attacks came down our right side, where Gressel was playing.  Gomez made a bunch of good overlapping runs but Cowell didn't give him the ball.  Someone else pointed out that Gomez was more of a factor later in the game, coincidentally or not after Cowell came out of the game.

Yeah I think there were stretches where he was fine, and the defensive woes were not his fault alone by any stretch of the imagination.  The entire back line was not great.  For a highly rated prospect I guess I was expecting more.  I was a little surprised that Gressel struggled defensively, especially since he was one of the older players on the field.  I think Tolken should have gotten a few minutes but such is life.

My Spanish isn't as good as it once was, but I swore that the announcers on Universo said that Columbia was bringing a fairly strong side for Saturday's game and that Hudson was saving the players with more experience to start that one. Could be the reason that Long and Zimmerman split time and that Sean Johnson, Arriola, Ferreira, Acosta, Hoppe and Tolkin (fingers crossed) didn't play many minutes, or at all

"They better keep playing that RB Arena update because that unbuilt stadium is the only positive thing about this soft-drink-selling, coached-by-a-dumbass, trading-good-players-for-shit, hopeless, retarded, club." - MetroFanatic

"It was always six weeks away. Every month, [Nick Sakiewicz] would say, we're six weeks away from the stadium. It's been the longest six weeks of my life." - Mike Petke

"I think every country can learn everything about each other. If the whole world can be together, it can be good." - Mathias Jorgensen

"I want to give you lots of titles for your happiness. Lots of hugs.” - Fabio

Didn't look out of place on the field. Unlike so many of his teammates last game.
