He hustled as he always does but mostly gave away the ball whenever he attempted an ambitious pass.
The sad part is neither statement is wrong. Lade was one of our more involved attacking players when he came on, and every touch he took sucked.

To say the least our style of high press is not good when teams bunker in the penalty area or teams play long ball over the midfield. Armas should be coming up with plans to counter these problems that Metro faces.

i don't know how after the way we have looked Armas is just automatically starting Rza and Davis. When in form they are a good pairing, but they are not now and we have other options.

Do we though? CCJ and Bezecourt are the backups, neither of those guys are proven MLS level players.

Their whole argument in offseason was that we got Casseres early so when Tyler leaves we have a guy who is ready to play if needed in a similar role. Time to prove it.
If they didnt think he was ready they should have signed someone. in spot starts/appearances they've played as an 6 or 8 they've been fine imo.
Yeah, "involved" is a great description as it doesn't imply any positive impact. Whoscored says he had 40% passing completion.

I remember this as well.

Play Casserras but a better 6 doesnt solve the Chicago long ball distributioni don't know how after the way we have looked Armas is just automatically starting Rza and Davis. When in form they are a good pairing, but they are not now and we have other options.
Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Someone else higher up might help
i think playing a more mobile midfielder would then allow us to play a more attacking or at least have the others play with a more attacking mindset. We look so static. I can count on one hand the player's I've seen who have played with the mentality you want everyone on the team to play at. We have a talent problem, but there also is a major tactical and/or mindset problem. I don't know if shaking up lineup wakes people up by Armas needs to figure out how to make people react
a more mobile midfielder would ... allow us to play ... with a more attacking mindset. We look so static.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
Interesting tweet from @harrisonhamm21 on Rzatkowski showing that he doesn't actually spend all that much time in the center of the midfield. Overall just not enough touches on the ball from him in that role.
