The activity for the team is so sparse......that fans are actually convincing themselves that players from the Scottish 2nd division are good signings.

God, the bar is now so low.

Cosgrove plays in the Scottish Prem, but as we all know some people in this fanbase will bitch no matter who we sign unless it is Jesus Christ himself

sign ... Jesus Christ himself

Do you have any inside info on this?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

our track record with players who've played in the SPL isn't great, last I recall.

I would feel pretty comfortable going into the season with a guy like that on the roster.

only if he was the starting GK. think he'd be good on PKs and close range headers, big wingspan and all.

Haven't had too many big guys up front in recent years. Cooper's probably the last starter that actually acted like a target striker (one of Henry's greatest accomplishments getting him to do that)

Well, happy to see a legit rumor and definitely looks like he's going to cost a little.

Impression of him as a player is tough to figure. He's huge but he seems pretty natural I'm the air which is good. We've needed that for a long time. He produces and that's important too. Looks like good speed but hard to get a read on his first step and athleticism

If we are planning on signing this guy, RBNY cant do their usual pussy footing and dragging it out

https://www.pressand...-of-the-window/

Saw somewhere that Aberdeen value him at 4 million pounds.

I guess at this point something would be better than nothing, but we need attacking players beating defenders one on one, not another big white guy who's never dribbled past an opponent in his life.

Watching some highlights on Cosgrove the guy can score and I mean he can score in any sort of way. Sure some of his goals are from the spot but he reminds a lot of Jozy Altidore, has the pace and strength for sure and a target for goal. We really couldn't go wrong giving Cosgrove one of our dp spots. I believe he'll definitely bolster our attacking options this year. I'd love to see Jorgensen or Barlow play off him. His transfermarket might say 570k but if we want to buy him he's going to cost over 2 million dollars and there's a track record of Mcinnes and Aberdeen not liking to sell in the winter months as we saw when GMS was linked to nycfc last winter and didn't come until the summer. I think it'll take Red bulls about 3/3.5 million dollars for a fee and a contract between 500k-1million dollars to get the man. You can't forget Cosgrove was linked to Lazio over the summer. I think this will be really good business from red bulls if we get this deal done. Still a bit to work on we need an outside back preferably on the right side now for depth unless we can count on duncan being healthy for a full season. We also need another cm/cdm in there to compete with the current crop and a winger but that looks to be josh sims thankfully coming back.

Luke Rodgers worked out outta nowhere, BWP did as well. A few others did not (Peter Canero, anyone?) We can give this guy the benefit of the doubt for now, glad they got someone (assuming we can finish the deal), but we still have work to do.
