Wow, 11 yellows and 2 reds in 13 games. That's pretty amazing.

He's coming for your record Damien Perinelle!

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

I still love that he holds this record because it was actually because he was incredibly disciplined. I'm sure 95% of his cards were professional fouls when he knew he was beat because he was asked to play a super high line with no footspeed whatsoever.

You'd have to ask Fishkin.

I'm sure that's accurate but it just doesn't feel right.

So we have Long Parker Reyes Tarek and Nealis. Looks like we'll be seeing 3-5-2 or whatever a lot more. Having 5 CBs is good. Remember in '15, we had Perrinelle Miazga Zubar and Ouimette. Jean-Baptiste was the fifth CB. Both Ouimette and AJB were meh.

If it's a 4man backline:

Pendant (I guess) - Parker - Long - Duncan

with Reyes Tarek and Nealis as back ups

_____

3CB:

Parker - Long - Reyes

with Tarek and Nealis as back ups.

So, having 5 CBs, won't be as stressful if there are Nat'l team callups, loss of form, USOC, and injuries.

This potential pickup, plus the attempt at that CB from Lisbon, makes me think that Long is on his way out.

I wouldnt be so sure they have been shopping Parker supposedly plus if they intend to go 3 in the back you need 5 cbs

Besides flexibility to play the 3 in the back sometimes.  any good team, especially in our system where they are isolated a ton, needs 3 good CBs you'd be comfortable with starting a whole season.  Tarek is really good depth but i wouldnt want him starting a whole season.  So while I think Parker or Long will be gone in the next 12-18 months even if they both are staying this is a move that needed to happen.

Plus if we did a get bid for Long in the summer we wouldnt need to scramble for a replacement because they have one in house they've gotten a head start on integrating.

I'm told the New York Red Bulls are finalizing the transfer acquisition of former Inter Miami centerback Andres Reyes from Atletico Nacional.

Inter Miami wanted to keep him but Atletico had plans for a sale to Europe that eventually fell through.

Also to answer the compensation question from before per Franco we got him through waivers.

That's bad asset management by Miami.

Oh boy that's a whole different story, here I was thinking we just picked him up on a free. I didn't realize he was on loan at Miami and that Nacional would still be owed a fee.

I hope we're not paying that much...

Possible that Nacional didnt ask for that much considering they had a deal fall through to sell him to Europe?

Since Miami was either obligated to pick up the option or return him, maybe RBNY had more wiggle room to negotiate.
