No. Any sale relinquishes a team's rights, AFAIK.

Nope - once we cashed out, we forfeited the rights.   We'd only retain them if he left without compensation.

shame they don't implement a rule that teams have right of first opportunity to re-sign USMNT players returning to the league if agreeable terms. 

Would be nice for teams to have this rather than allocation order as pool grows larger. 

Of course if teams people large $$$ like Toronto then what are you gonna do.
