MSG rain-delay pre-game show said that the RB brass are not interested in Rossi because his knees and his age preempt him from playing the pressing style that RB is playing. RB prefers under-24 year old players. Rossi may end up in MLS, but it's not likely to be at RB even though he is training with them.
In the interest of rounding out the discussion about dual-nationals, we have omitted an obvious incident involving Chris Armas. It appears that the ussf worked a deal with the corrupt felons at concacaf to declare some PR games to be "non-sanctioned". Ha, ha, ha. That enabled Armas to be eligible for the usmnt. In fairness to Chris, he always wanted to be on the usmnt and was somehow hoodwinked into playing for PR without realizing it could jeopardize his eligibility for the usmnt, who at the time had NO interest in Chris.

Unfortunately for Armas, he did not break into the squad until soon after the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and his ACL injury came just before the 2002 FIFA World Cup, so he was never able to play for the United States in the world's most prestigious soccer competition. He was named as a standby player for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and did not feature in the final squad."
