Forgot to mention it before and it probably doesn't need to be said, but Nealis was really good last game.  He clearly dropped a couple pounds and he has a very good natural feel for shutting down plays in certain moments.

And with Kaku openly lobbying for that 3/5 man back line formation, you have to figure the team will go with it again.

Yes and I like how Kaku knows Cinti style play, Higuin is arriving and Henry is back - Like I am going to show these 2 guys what I can do

and then Yearwood is like Kante but has not played a game in 6 months.

#1371384 Current Roster - Start, Bench, Move (cut, trade, sell, or demote) in 2021

If kaku was a good player, we wouldnt be having this type of season.

go back to the shelf elf

If it was 10 games in without a striker scoring we would not have this type of season and did not try to play 4222 and then everything else.

Big news for us.  Based on what Sean McCaffery has done so far, optimistic we will continue to supplement the talent pool well.   We need to fill the gap and get a couple other 17/18 year old guys to compliment the class below with Hot and Toure

Good academy write up. Part 1 talks about Theiwell experience as someone who managed academies in England, has a ton of contacts like getting academy to connect with Liverpool academy and can steer coaches to specific training.

Also, roster reduction allows for more playing time.  More players are expected to play up as well to help with their development.

That arrogance was his undoing. Turns out the best coach we've ever had knew better than the former college coach.

Dont see it as arrogance he knew they needed plan b but was not able to implement consistently and effectively
Players looked unsure and too much pulling back

Thiewell seems to know what he wants, what it takes to get there and has contacts to try

I don't mind people criticizing Davis at all.  Him and CCJ (and this year's version of Rza I think has dropped off a bit) I'm just not big fans of.  I'm really hopeful Yearwood turns out to be a player because both of CCJ and Davis aren't good enough in my opinion.  THe passing just isn't good enough and it's not like either of them are ball winners.  THe instances where I wish we got more from them though are in those moments where we do have possession in the final third and we are dispossessed, the two 6's can usually be big on getting possession back quickly and keeping us in that end.  I feel like both CCJ and Davis don't do this much at all.  Dax was the master at it but we didn't even need it to be at that level.  Just a solid level.

CCJ is young though so he gets more lee-way but I definitely dont' see any athletic qualities that suggest he has a high upside.  And his consistency passing definitely isn't there either.

Ultimately I think we can live with one of Davis or CCJ on a good team, but not both starting.

agree

Valot is a good fit centrally and can play across the top 3.

I still continue to think Davis could be a good CB. EDIT - he could be Tim Ream like.

Better to give CCJ more chance to grow.

Tom Barlow is not a good finisher because Chris Armas does not yell at him enough.

Does the Let Me Cheer app let you yell at the striker?

Yo Barlow you a bum......

Luke Rodgers would've finished that!

playing a Reserve/USL squad is our kryptonite......

Stop moving the ball so slow.

Stop pulling the ball back so much - Pendant/Davis/Duncan

Omir - looked a little off

RZA Davis in the middle continues to disappoint

Royer was ehh
Tom Barlow is snakebitten
Sean Nealis looked ok and one heck of a sliding block!

2nd half was worse.  after we ride out their initial push we looked BLAH
earlier subs for sure

Ben Mines at least has energy and interest in taking people on 1v1

2 injuries/cramps - ugh

----would have like to see Yearwood.

also although we outshot them the # of dangerous chances seemed similar if I recall correctly.
