Not a lot of chatter about todays game. We all know what happened back in WC 2010. Now Slovenia is ranked 27th in the world by FIFA, seven places higher than our boys who are currently at 34 (who is flanked by Ghana at 33 and Algeria at 35).

Im pretty sure we would all like to see some goals for the Nats, anything less and the grumbling will be in full effect.

Game starts at ~9 AM our time. Does anyone have a link besides espn3?

I hope they attack from the get-go and take many shots on goal.

But, that just might be wishful thinking...

All I hope for is that the Edu/Beckerman central midfield pairing is not tried again...

I hope Buddle gets the start and scores a few.

I like the change. Hard for me to say this, but glad Bradley is starting, hoping I don't regret this after the game. Glad to see Buddle up top instead of having Jozy all by his lonesome.

Feeling good about this game already :pint:

Hopefully this means Klinny got the memo he has to score in this game. I can see him having Bradley, Clint, buddle, and jozy all pressing into the attacking third. Clint has been waiting for another attacking midfielder that can work the center of the pitch with him to help take pressure off of him, and now he's got it. 2-1 USA.

Buddle will make the runs that Jozy doesn't know how to or doesn't want to. Slovenia is allegedly a compact defensive team, so it looks like the idea is to open up some space.

I'm far from a M. Bradley proponent, but he's a better fit for what Jurgen is trying to accomplish in the central midfield. That is until Torres or Holden are healthy of course... would've like to see Feilhaber be given the keys at that position but that's another issue I suppose

I like the changes...

finally, two true forwards are in the formation. Jozy by himself was getting old.

Seeing M. Bradley and Buddle start should be the right play against the Slovenian D, as Lobo had mentioned. Here's to a big W today. GO USA!

Stadium looks pretty empty.

Pretty good line up. Was wondering during the last game why Jr wasn't seeing any time. Might have rather seen Shea start at LM over Williams.

Edit: Did Williams start or was it Johnson?

Back 4 might want to get its act together, sloppy start for them thus far.
