Look at it this way, pretend that he's off for a WCQ for Paraguay, the midfield would look like this while he'd be away:

Royer Valot Muyl

Beze Davis

It doesn't look like garbage. After all, Kaku would be away on NT duty, as would Tyler Etienne Murillo Taxi Casseres Long and Parker.

Yes, I'm greedy. But our guys are playing like absolute fucking ballers right now.

Considering that WCQ for 2022 isn't like for another 2 years...in the fall I say that's really not much of a worry right now...

Who the hell was Victor Palsson? LOL

Played in half the games in 2012? I must have been sleepwalking that season because I have almost no recognition of him.

I remember thinking that Palsson didn't get a fair shake here. He hasn't been a world beater in Europe, but he had decent runs in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark. Seems like a guy who would have benefitted greatly from a functioning reserve system.

And it would have been nice if he urinated at RFK, a la Beasley.

iirc an Icelandic midfielder who was good for like 1/2 a game and fouled a lot, got shipped oversees soon after.

Per BLew his-self:

There are players on Paraguay who I'd want on this team. Oscar Romero is one, he's at Shangai, but last played well for Racing Club. Him AND Kaku? FOH!!!!

"Are there any Paraguayans here?"

Finally, we can finish the press conference.

Still vividly remember him getting sent off in the first Metro trip to Montreal, and still coming out with a win thanks to Dane.

Victor Palsson was solid (minus a dumb red card). He slowed the game down quite a bit and was fouled like crazy for it. Ended up doing well in the Dutch league before playing a few more years in Scandinavia and as of last year landed with Zurich.

One of those players I've been surprised with how well he did after us.

He reminded me a little bit of Toni Tchani - big, super athletic guy with decent skill and no smarts
