His fatal brain fart turnover in the dying seconds against Portugal in '14 is always the first "highlight" of his that comes to mind whenever someone mentions his name.

Same with Ricardo Clark (remember him?) against Ghana 4 years earlier.

He is a good recruiter and i know he knows tactics but team selection question marks.

I have said the same thing on more than one occasion since Berhalter took over. Having players fill in out of position based on need is understandable, doing it on a whim or to just get the best 11 players on the field isn't. I wonder if Klinsi left his copy of "Team Selection for Dummies" in the manager's office when he departed?

I dont think McKennie needs to be publicly shamed to learn a lesson

It is called accountability. Lord knows he wouldn't be the first pro athlete to have million dollars worth of talent and a 5 cent head but a rules for thee not for me attitude has no place in any professional atmosphere.

What the heck did McKinnie do? What could he have done that bad? Go out to a party. Seems like an overreaction to me.

Sounds like a case of young kid living the baller lifestyle, needed a kick in the ass, got it, and now it remains to be seen how it was received.

Was it overreacting? Not knowing what the offense was, it sounds like Berhalter took the opportunity to drop the hammer in hopes of heading off any other transgressions down the road.
