Their best bet is to somehow renovate yankee stadium so it's a better fit for soccer.  Maybe convert some seats to retractable seats so you can have a wider field?  Still not likely but I think given how hard it is to get a stadium built in NYC, it may be their best bet.  A lot of baseball stadiums in Japan are also used for soccer (see Sapporo Dome).  Again, I don't think the baseball purists would allow this to be done to Yankee Stadium.

I'd be willing to bet the bulk of their supporters aren't even aware of the existence of CCL. As the age old question goes... If a hipster trips over their shoelace and falls in Brooklyn, but no one is there to see it, does it make a sound?
