Tone of this event was obviously much gentler that the original. Sparse crowd, as well. Half empty.
Alas, poor Petke.
I didn't feel like getting on line to ask a question, at the risk of disturbing the Kumbaya atmosphere.
I didn't notice any "In Marsch We Trust" or "Keep Ali & Red Bull" t-shirts, BTW.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Love to know where the RedBullOut'ers where. No one outside protesting or taking donated RB shirts?

I was there and holding the torch for rb hate. Ass kissing was unbearable but REDBULLOUT was never a jerk reaction to a single event, we are here and not going anywhere.
Thanks for asking.

Gravedigger was indeed sporting the "Love the Team Hate the Brand" t-shirt.
I hung my "Curtis Must Go! Red Bull Out! t-shirt over the empty seat next to me.
But, have no fear, Truman. If this season ends without silverware, management will fall upon itself.
The Outers will only have to sit & watch. Perhaps another, lengthier, coaches scarf will be made.
If something is won this year, the heads will roll next year instead. Ask Mike.

And yet I still see the haters come to games. Maybe I'd have more respect for RBO if I never saw them attend matches, home or away.
But back to the actual Town Hall, there was certainly a lot of butt smooching, a little too much for my taste, considering we haven't won anything this year. But the questions were answered pretty straight forward and not a lot of tap dancing.

I personally have only watched one game that wasn't on a tv where I was all season, and I have not attended any games for the first season since following the team. A lot of RBO people have conflicted feelings but attend games, and while I have some disagreement with that I respect people doing what they're comfortable with. So the reason you don't see a lot of RBO people all the time is because they're boycotting.

The people that hopped on the RBO bandwagon largely because of the Petke dismissal alone are probably mostly back. The core RBO guys, the ones that have issues with the team being named after a corporation, the team being a marketing tool, etc.. I think are still going strong.I personally have only watched one game that wasn't on a tv where I was all season, and I have not attended any games for the first season since following the team. Although if you're a season ticket holder or even buy StubHub tickets (which are often dumped there by RB) you are probably more RedBullNOTIn than RedBullOut.

Be real; your contempt for RBO would always find a way.

Thought that was very cool of the dude. GMs need to be able to take heat, but the guy realized there are probably better times than when Ali's kids are around.after apologizing to Ali for heckling him at a game
Thought this was the one question that was answered pretty poorly. It's not a "one in a million chance". I get that it's unlikely, that the teams all like the cash the friendlies bring in and USUALLY work with each other because they could be in a similar spot next time. But it only takes one team to do what Philly did. You could argue it was uncool of them or shortsighted. But they were desperate to win games and they did what they thought could help them.He asked ( after apologizing to Ali for heckling him at a game ) Marc if he'd promise to not schedule friendly game(s) to conflict with future U.S. Open cup games. The whole Tuesday 4pm vs Philly deal. What I found strange was people were laughing at him. He even said its not funny. I didnt think it was either.
