So- here's a question, if you could trade Petke for the team being sold, would you do it?

I'd totally take a Roxburgh ran RBNY with Petke.

Can some billionaire hurry up and get here to buy this team already?

Which EPL owner will the league scramble to sell us to for a quick payday?

LOL
Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Well...
Next guest on Seeing Red! has to be Michael Lewis...
Need to hear if not who the sources are at least what kinds of information they're privy to...stuff like this often becomes an echo chamber with plugged-in people simply repeating what they've heard from other plugged-in folks who also don't have real inside info...
As always for me Red Bull is welcome to stay but the second they even think of selling the league has to take control of the process and find the appropriate buyer if Red Bull can't on its own...
Hard to see how a controversial move like Petke increase the value of the club...unless controversy might help Austria come to its final internal decision...

Hopefully James Dolan and the Wilpons aren't looking to expand into MLS ownership.

Yeah if the club is for sale why fire the manager? Now they're paying two managers when they'd rather be paying none.
Exactly my thoughts. Why deliberately tank the team which lowers the value for a sale?

The value in the sale will be the Stadium, no? Plus the new acquisitions of dingus and whats his face we hired as coach are straight from MLS, probably easier to transition with league guys lending a hand

The quicker the better.
- RBNY is bought by some billionaire BPL team owner. Clubs are co-sponsored.
- Team is re-named MetroStars, with no New York, or any sort of geographical reference besides the Metro(politan) area.
- Good old red and black stripes for kits, with a modern design of the MetroStars badge.
- Some decent signings to keep us within playoff range in this rebuilding season.
And everything would be swell.

The stadium plus the practice facility. In the Wahl stary back in October the asking price was $250 million IIRC but in this latest story it's $220 million?
I can see RB actually wanting to devalue the team a bit so they can sell it off quicker. With RB Leipzig only four points from a promotion spot they probably want to get out ASAP and get whatever they can so they can pour more $ into RBL.
