Or the collective understanding that frantic non stop soccer can be pretty crapulous soccer. Dax has a little pausa to his game though.

RED. BULL. OUT.

From our point of view, yes. But it's just a different style/approach to the game.

If you watch Liga MX for example, you can see that defenders don't just go 100 mph, they give midfielders time on the ball. They can still play defense though. It's just how they play.

Sometimes you need to change the tempo of the game, when it is getting out of your control and going into a frantic pace and your game plan does not call for it, or the opposite has made a tactical change that is causing you trouble. Sometimes it is to 'setup' a play while giving the other team a sense of rest.

Barcelona is one of the best at this transition where it goes from passing the ball side to side and backwards and suddenly launching a lighting fast strike.

Cheers

The other one is the play that led to the red card. I have seen the same type of challenge throughout Latin America soccer and in La Liga and it rarely gets called. That is why I understand his disbelief when the ref showed him a straight red. My first reaction was: "that is not a red! that was a good challenge on a 50/50 ball!"

I follow zero Latin American soccer but that sounds crazy! I've never heard of a league where a jumping two footed tackle isn't an obvious red.

Is Brandon Allen typically that slow? Dude looked like he was running through mud with the freshest legs on the field.

Yes. Fortunately yon't have to be particularly fast to score in this league (see, e.g., COOOOP).

Interesting note: this is our first 3:0 hat-trick since the team's first ever hat-trick, Gio vs Colorado in 1996:

BWP now also has the most multi-goal games in team history:
