Know thy enemy:

Current Roster # POS Player Age NATL Previous Club
10 M/F Arturo Alvarez 25 USA
33 D/M Steven Beitashour 23 USA
2 D Bobby Burling 25 USA
18 G Jon Busch 34 USA
1 G Joe Cannon 35 USA
11 M Bobby Convey 27 USA Reading FC (ENG)
12 M Ramiro (You Suck ) Corrales 33 USA
4 M Sam Cronin 23 USA Toronto FC
23 F Eduardo 30 Brazil FC Basel (SWI)
0 M/F Geovanni 30 Brazil Hull City (England)
17 M Joey Gjertsen 28 USA Montreal Impact (CAN)
13 F Cornell Glen 29 Trinidad
21 D Jason Hernandez 26 USA
22 M Omar Jasseh 17 Gambia Crystal Palace (ENG)
19 F Ryan Johnson 25 Jamaica
3 D Chris Leitch 31 USA
28 M Andre Luiz 36 Brazil
14 D/M Brandon McDonald 24 USA
15 D Justin Morrow 22 USA
6 D Ike Opara 21 USA
5 M Brad Ring 23 USA Indiana University
9 F Scott Sealy 29 Trinidad Bnei Sakhnin (ISR)
20 D Tim Ward 23 USA Chicago Fire (MLS)
8 F Chris Wondolowski 27 USA

Could see an all ex-Metro defence from SJE. Henandez, Corrales, Ward & Leitch. However injuries & crapness (seriously, what happened to Chris Leitch, 29 appearances last year, this year, disappeared) we'll see a Toronto-esque type of defense with MLS re-treads. Might even see Bobby Convey at leftback to contain the Dane threat.

Busch & Cannon (now with a broken ankle) that's recently kept the score low with save after save. Expecting Henry to get some shooting practice against the SJE defense.

Typical MLS forwards (speedy, some streaky goals and then frustration) in Glen, Sealy, Wondowhatsit and Johnson. Geovanni? Not getting 90mins from him and he's passing to MLS forwards not top tier Euro league. Miller will need to keep an eye on Alvaraz

If NYRB is for real, this is the type of team we must win at home against. No excuses.

You're underrating Wondo. He's a hell of a goal poacher, makes great runs and just has that knack for finding space in the box. He's one of the very, very few Americans who gets better the closer he gets to goal.

Best guess:

Busch

Ward - McDonald - Burling - Convey

Alvarez - Cronin - Stephenson - Gjertsen

Geovanni

Wondo
