Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?
My only connection to UK soccer (other than catching the odd game on NBC Sports now and then) is through FIFA 14. I like taking one of the lowest tier teams in FIFA and playing with them for a few seasons, trying to get promoted all the way up to the Premier League. The lowest tier of English soccer represented in the FIFA series is League 2.
Just for shits and giggles, I googled this Fakenham Town team, which I had never heard of in all my years of playing with the scrub English teams.
Apparently, they just got promoted to the Eastern Counties Football League Premier Division. If they were to win this division, they get promoted to the Isthmian League Division One.
If by chance they win again, they then get promoted to the Conference South. If these guys keep winning, they eventually get promoted to the Conference Premier League.
Finally if by some stroke of Sir Bobby Charlton they win this league again, they finally have made the big time! Promotion to League 2! From here, it is a rather easy road to the Premier League (League 2 -> League 1 -> Championship -> Premier League).
Sounds like are looking at him for our USL Pro team next year. I doubt that we would have 4 keepers on the roster.
Doesn't hurt to take a look as was already mentioned USL pro team next year is a possibility and I have a hard time believing that Meara and Robles will both be on the team next season Though I could say the same thing about Philly with Blake and MacMath in terms of possible expansion picks

Fakenham Town sounds like a fake team name.

If I was a british dude trying to pick up american girls and I was telling them I'm a soccer player, this would definitely be the name of the team I'd make up on the spot if they asked where I played.
This is great, because America has never been very good at producing goalies.
