Who said about the whole season? I said in the last couple of games Duncan wasnt good. If you think hes coming off a great performance or two, rewatch the games.

And you conveniently left out this part of your post:

"Those are not guys you are going to be building around."

You absolutely can build around Duncan. Maybe he's not your Franchise Guy like a Valeri or JPA, but he's absolutely a foundational piece for a contender.

Time to sell Duncan and Kanu to highest bidder to maximize cash flow. This will be RB next moves.

There is not a single fucking guy on this team that deserves to be built around.

And that is a huge fucking problem.

Every keeps saying shit like this but there's basically zero precedent for it. They did a full-court press in an attempt to keep Miazga and Adams was so obviously ready for a big team in Europe that it was honestly a miracle they managed to keep him as long as they did. They dragged their feet on Long and Kaku transfers even despite serious bids and interest from those players in moving. Murillo and Taxi had to become incredibly toxic presences before the team willingly moved them.

Here is a buffing part. Ben didnt really get an opportunity to play all season. Then against NE he get one chance to play minutes, and he assists on a goal, shows one on one ability, and generally looks dangerous with the ball. He also happens to be 20 years old and we dont have a starter at the position.

His reward is 20 mins combined in next two games. Why would you give Stroud a start over him, when in one game Mines was allowed to get minutes he did significantly more than much older Stroud with several opportunities?

Want to see more of Mines

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Not sure you are just trying to pick an argument or had a lapse of comprehension to tell me I am leaving something out. I said Duncan sucked last few games and generally is not a star you build around. You response was specifically: "Have we watched the same games?" That would suggest you are talking about my comment about his last few games. You then proceed to say that he was good all season. I point out to you I only commented on last few (namely two games), where I thought he was bad and ask you to re-watch them, so that you watch these same games, as you were asking. Then you said I "conveniently" left something out, which I happen to mention again in the very next post - that he is not a star to be built around. If you misunderstood, that's fine, but to me "building around" is statement that is typically reserved for star players, not just all decent guys, like Duncan.

Selling the farm to rebuild in MLS will never make sense to me, it's just not necessary. Even these days there is still so much parity between teams that you are only ever a few savvy signings and a decent coach away from becoming title contenders again. Not to mention MLS takes a cut of outbound transfers without contributing to inbound ones, so a full swap on the transfer market will always mean dollars down the drain.

Hold on to the talent you have, actually open up the checkbook, and spend it on guys who can actually make a difference.
