Sorry if there's an existing Petke thread I should have put this in, looked and didn't see one?

RSL is sucking hard right now. Anyone else worried about Petke? I hope they give him enough time to put out the dumpster fire.

“I’m appalled at certain things,” he told KMYU’s Brian Dunseth and David James. “We talked about this after the Houston game, where I was a little bit gentler, but I’m just appalled by certain things that we talk about as clear as day and you go out there and not one of them is put into play. So that tells me one of two things, either they’re not listening or they’re not good enough.”

Im not sure what to expect. Apparently the team was awful and they were just waiting for him to take over and just pulled the trigger way earlier then expected. Hopefully he will get to at least next season to get a few transfer windows under his belt.

Ouch.... I'm worried about Petke. Hopefully they give him a full off-season before canning him.

Perhaps Mike should have fielded the first team. For some teams, a cup run can take the sting out of a poor season in the league. Only 5 wins needed for the USOC cup. DC did this a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, we've never taken this approach.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

RSL has lost its last three matches by a combined score of 15-4.  I'm not sure if Cassar ever had a stretch this bad.  Playing away against the Texas teams is tough and RSL is getting some players back, so things should get better for Mike.

To be fair, the Monarchs had beaten Sacramento 2-0 a few weeks ago. That was a home game, so maybe that can explain the difference. You just hope the team and its fans don't see Mike as the difference.

Goal might have been a gift, but the positive is they didn't leak 4+ goals like they have their last three games.  Seems like they played a lot better with the U-20s back and in the lineup.

Outshot Mini 29-5, but no goals until the howler.

6-2 win over LAG.

In LA!
RSL were up 6-1 in 89th. Should have been 6-0 at that point, as 1st LA goal was clearly offside.
