I have been following this story, but did not want to post anything, until now

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

It is a bit of a tease for some ESCers who have been there (and perhaps done that!)

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Apparently, extraction is a major complication:

Yeah the kids have to learn how to dive to get out, otherwise they have to survive down there long enough for a major excavation to be completed - estimate is WEEKS.

Gonna be a sweet movie to watch on an airplane in like 2 years.

I am expecting to read that an agent has dove through the flooded caves to try to sign the kids to an exclusive contract!

Hope they get out before any new flooding.

A volunteer rescuer (retired Thai military) died while bringing supplies to the kids. Such a sad story all around, hope they make it out

Rescue underway. At this moment it appears 4 are out of the cave and are in the hospital. BTW, their team is Wild Boers.

Fox news:

The stranded boys, members of the Wild Boars soccer team, have been invited to the World Cup Final in Moscow if they make it out in time and can physically handle the trip.

Boys will be in quarantine for at least a week to protect them from infection. Unlikely any will be able to attend WC final. They and the rest of Thailand will mostly be supporting England because of the Englishmen who found them in the caves.
