Had a feeling we're creeping in on the 1000th goal in Metro history. Not quite; in all competitions, we're at 937, so 1000 should not come until next year. In any case, these are your milestone goals:

100    04/11/1998    Los Angeles    2:3    Hurtado    2nd

After Hurtado scores, Metro loses as Mathis(!) scores one late for LA.
200    04/22/2000    DC United    3:2    Villegas    2nd

Metro beats DC in OT on Petke's golden goal; Villegas tied it late in the first.
300    07/18/2001    Columbus    1:2    Lapper(OG)    1st

Own goal by Columbus' Mike Lapper. I don't remember this game.
400    08/06/2003    Columbus    4:3    Pope (1)    3rd

First of Pope's only two Metro goals, which both game in this game. Metro comes back from 3:1 down to beat Columbus in Open Cup.
500    08/06/2005    Dallas    2:2    Djorkaeff (1)    1st

Pizza Hut Park opener, Djorkaeff's first of two as Metro comes back to tie it.
600    08/18/2007    Los Angeles    5:4    Mathis    2nd

Mathis' 45 career Metro goal to give him the all-time lead in a game to remember!
700    03/27/2010    Chicago    1:0    Lindpere    1st

The first ever league goal at Red Bull Arena!
800    10/26/2011    Dallas    2:0    Lindpere    1st

Game-winner in the one-game playoff in Dallas.
900    07/27/2013    Salt Lake    4:3    Espindola (2)    3rd

The late penalty kick that tied it at 3:3, before McCarty won it in injury time.

And in league play only:

100    05/16/1998    DC United    4:3    Hurtado    3rd

Metro races to a 4:0 lead, before the Scum make it close.
200    06/24/2000    Colorado    3:1    Jolley    1st

Honestly don't remember this game, but Metro easily won in Colorado.
300    07/06/2002    Columbus    3:2    Jolley    3rd

Jolley's first goal since.... the 200th one. Winner on the road in Columbus.
400    09/25/2004    Dallas    2:0    Wolyniec    1st

Playoff-clinching goal in Dallas (Glen abuses Jolley for the 2nd).
500    04/15/2007    Dallas    3:0    Mathis    2nd

Mathis' first goal since his return to Metro.
600    06/13/2009    Toronto    1:2    Celades    1st

Metro's first league road goal of 2009 season, in its NINTH road game.
700    10/04/2011    Los Angeles    2:0    Rodgers    1st

The important late-season game rescheduled because of Hurricane Irene.
800    09/08/2013    Houston    4:1    Alexander    1st
The first goal before Metro makes it a second-half romp.

What doesn't? "1st" means it's the 1st goal of the game.

Dan, you can call me a dreamer, but I'm hoping that the 1000th goal, will be the one that wins us our first cup.

Speaking of milestones, who's the 3rd longest tenured current RedBull/Metro after Miller and Henry? If Henry doesn't renew his contract, who will be "backing up" Miller?

BTW, if you look at each link on MF player pages, the ID in the link is the player's sequential Metro # (by debut, not by signing date). For example, Henry is:

http://www.metrofana...ayer.jsp?ID=232

So he is the 232nd player in Metro history (all competitions).
