Well this is going to be a depressing away game.

Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

Probably win 5-0 and make us wonder WTH went wrong in KC.

And don't look now, but Montreal had a big win in Toronto and are now 3 points back.

A game in hand means its not a must-win for Metro, but it's at least a probably-should-win.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Does it even matter anymore? If the club does make the playoffs they will only get bounced again early as long as Marsch is coach.

Between a historically good TFC team, a blistering hot Atlanta team, and 3 decades of suffocating history, it's hard to like our chances to even get to the Cup before we get a chance to blow it.

I tell myself it will just make it that more satisfying when we do win, but I'm sure Cubs fans were saying that in the 1940's.  Who knows how long the wait will be.

Totally. The day we do win is going to be pure ecstasy.

But until then, we're taking hits of cheap opioids and it fucking sucks.

Fuck DC.

Well, I guess it's playoffs or bust at this point. Not really much left to the season.

This game's pretty important. We're two points behind Columbus with two games in hand.

I still don't think Montreal catches us, people are getting all riled up about tonight's win as if they haven't gotten beat the last four weeks in a row. We've got a game in hand on them too.

Marsch better trot out a best XI no matter what. Fuck that B squad like in the Portland game.

When your big name players don't produce goals and your coach gets out coached you know what saves your bacon in a one-off game?

A strong smart defense. They bring it to extra time and/or penalties no matter how terrible you've been.

Great teams win games 1-0. Marsch has ignored the problems in defense for 3 years and they will continue to suffer for it.

We know what went wrong. And an unlikely win on the road in Cbus won't make things better.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

this is like laying down $50, and getting a sack of literal seeds, twigs and soil.

or basically anything purchased in Washington Sq Park.
