Well, that was brief.

Gone are the halcyon days when les garçons en plastique were shiny, new and to be envied.

Big $ backing, star names, plans for a fancy new stadium in Central Park (maybe not that)

Trophies, dominance - dreams of Ticker Tape Parades, filmed in black-n-white, featuring both Babe Ruth and Pele... I digress.

Invitation to the European Champions League. Champagne and hot tub sex.

4 years, 3 coaches later and it's all going tits up.

Yankee Stadium will be home as far as the eyes can see.

Haven't won jack shit.

Their coach losing his shit.

Hell, the cut rate nazis are still about.

To make it all worse these other teams, esp Atlanta, have come in and stolen the spotlight.

LAFC (puke) this year, and Nashville next year, look far shinier.  DC has a stadium ffs.

Oh and the asshole red team from New Jersey...

Blue Team (2015-2018), great hope of real/true city folks and authentic Euro-snobs, we hardly knew ye.

In 2014 your schedule was too precious to go see Henry, but in 2015 you willingly waited an hour for Mix Diskerud caps.

What a people, and what a time it was.

Rest in Plastic.

Another fitting end to the season for the worst fans in MLS.

the worst fans in MLS.

They have competition.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

NYCFC, LAFC, and ATL would have to be the top 3, in no particular order

How quickly people forget DC and Seattle.

To be fair DC only recently started supporting their team again.

Not at all. DC will always be my most hated. I view that as a different conversation than these insufferable, obnoxious, new fanbases.

I respect Atlanta's enthusiasm, they strike me as a bit less obnoxious then Seattle, who give off a hipster cognoscenti vibe.

Atlanta fans unreasonably expect their team to win all the time and think they are the greatest, but they don't also act like they invented soccer the way Seattle fans do.

Don't forget TFC, their fans went asshole pretty quick after two good seasons of beating teams with 1/5 their budget.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

wow.  guess they'll stop w the aging celebrity spending soon.

accounting gimmickry aside*, assuming these #'s at face they are spending about $16mm, or 40%, more than RB is.

(* I understand that expenses can have a number of non-cash items, accruals, etc)

based on that dumb math above, nycfc, toronto, lag spend the most. rsl and colorado spend the least.  makes sense.

They are really annoying with their attendance record. Its a nice feather to have in their cap but every time i've watched United this year it sounded like a church. Also want to see what the true attendance will be once the newness wears off.
