Why would MLS schedule a game the Wednesday before our biggest rivalry?

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Our goalscorers last seven games (discounting an own goal):

Royer, BWP, BWP, Royer, Royer, Royer, BWP, Royer, Royer, BWP.

This team is still the most successful team that I follow.

The fucking Mets, that's a shit team.

Seriously though, it's now about this game - beat DC and that will show us something.  Blow another result and that will show us something else.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Why would MLS schedule a game the Wednesday before our biggest rivalry?

Why would they schedule a game 4 days after our new biggest rivalry? (Sorry / not sorry)

This is true but if you look across the entire league I think we have one of the largest number of different players to score this year. I'd verify myself but I'm still pounding beers in the Bronx trying to forget this shit performance.

that's because we were playing better earlier in the season, and off the top of my head Valot, Rivas and Mines three of them will not contribute to the team for the rest of the season.  Hopefully someone emerges, but at the end of every summer, it's the same question, with poor answers.

Still, I am going tomorrow!
DeGrom is pitching! 👍 v. Bumgarner!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Any rotation this game? Maybe we can get some fresh legs into the starting lineup but last time we rolled out a not A-team at home after a midweek game (iirc)... didn't go too well.
