Weirdly, sometimes the less severe knee injuries like strains are the most painful when they happen.  I've seen this in a lot of sports.  The bad tears can sometimes in the moment not seem that serious, often with guys walking away.

the way he was yelling and the field mic picked it up?

Yes, it sounded pretty gruesome. But, I'm also a slub in finance and not a doctor.

Definitely good news with ROyer.  Surprised he is only week to week and not day to day.

Yea, you could hear him screaming so loud that it was horror movie like. I was almost expecting to see a bone sticking out with the way he reacted.

"slub"? Or "schlub"?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

even though this injury may take 2-4 wks, am i crazy to think that Marsch somehow convinces Royer to come back maybe a week or so early? ya think he gets a run out for the USOC game?

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig and Celenio Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello and Mike Vallo

I meant to type "bum" and the trusty iPhone autocorrect changed it to that for some reason.

I could see an autocorrect to 'bump', but 'slub'?

Yes crazy - no I don't think he plays in that game.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

what is UP with Collin?

Coming off a contract year and over 30 years old. Recipe for disaster.

If he truly is done for the season (for whatever reason) then I give Marsch a solid "D" for signings. We need(ed) a no-brainer in his prime defensive anchor. Baah wasn't going to be that, I would have never pinned my hopes on Collin and/or Perrinelle and it's unfair to expect Long to perform that role in his first season.

Escobar and Murillo were good additions. That's what stops me from giving Marsch a big fat "F". But they weren't the one truly important signing we needed for short term success.

There are talented and experienced CBs all over the world and we have a ton of funny money. WTF?

I will be interested to see in light of the Royer injury if:

1. Veron starts

2. Keita gets significant minutes

Don't think Keita showed up in shape so it's gonna be a little while before he plays.

Still don't like Veron at anything but striker but I wouldn't mind him starting over Muyl.  Anyone starting over him is fine by me.  My preference would be Etienne.

YES need our air dominant CB (Lade) back in action. This great news on both!
