He played right back in Germany as his coach at Hannover tried to convert him to one. I don't think he was entirely ssuccessful, but Zizzo does have SOME experience there.

He should work as hard as he can to fit there.  Might be the only way for him to see the field now...

Hi Jessie

Not only can I prepare a mean sausage sandwich but I can pitch in at right back too.

Sal Zizzo

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Might as well let him.  He can cross better than Lade and Duvall I think...

At the very least while Duvall is out injured might as well give him a shot.

Since Lade is a waste of roster space, i think this is a good idea to try out now before it's too late into the season to experiment.

Sal's performance in front of goal has been awful this year. Let him be a defender.. He might actually excel there.

Hope Sal is as comfortable playing in USL or on loan at Cosmos  :)

Crossing is not what we're missing most from the RB spot, its reliable defending. Not sure why anyone is confident a converted left winger would defend any better than Lade or Duvall.

Zizzo is a playing an inverted LM; he's right-footed. Duvall is hurt and no one is saying he's better than Lade, just that he might be because Lade is probably a below average MLS fullback.

With the better depth we now have, let him play some games at RB for RBNYII. That's what LA did with Robbie Rogers last year. Contract rules might not allow that now and/or this may only be message board talk.

I was unimpressed with him at RB during the Philly USOC game. If they were ever to go this route, I would hope he would get some time in the USL.
